RippleRoot Terms of Service

Last updated: July 24, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RippleRoot software and hosted services provided by Coderipple Tech Ltd ("CodeRipple Tech", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using RippleRoot, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

RippleRoot is a local-first developer workspace platform. It provides desktop, command-line, agent, self-hosted, and hosted-cloud tools for project setup, workspace metadata, file synchronisation, encrypted environment secrets, devices, and team administration.

2. Accounts and organisations

You must provide accurate information, protect your devices and credentials, and be legally able to enter these Terms. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the users, devices, projects, and data added to an organisation you control.

3. Plans and billing

RippleRoot may offer free, paid, and custom plans. Current self-serve prices and included seats are shown before checkout. Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe, renew for the selected billing period until cancelled, and may be subject to taxes. You can cancel future renewal at any time; fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Your data

You retain ownership of content and data you submit to RippleRoot. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, transmit, back up, and process that data to provide, secure, and support the service. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use that data.

Our handling of personal data is described in the RippleRoot Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use RippleRoot to:

6. Software and open-source components

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use RippleRoot for your own internal purposes while these Terms apply. Components distributed under an open-source licence remain governed by that licence. These Terms do not grant rights to our names, logos, or other branding.

7. Self-hosting and third-party services

If you self-host RippleRoot, you are responsible for your infrastructure, backups, security, availability, and legal compliance. Google, Stripe, GitHub, cloud-storage providers, and other third-party services are governed by their own terms and may change or discontinue their services.

8. Availability and changes

RippleRoot is evolving and may include early-access features. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, but we will use reasonable care to avoid materially disrupting paid customers without notice. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important data.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using RippleRoot at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, legal compliance, material breach, or harm to the service or others. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will survive.

10. Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RippleRoot is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that RippleRoot will meet every environment, recovery, or compliance requirement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data. Our total liability arising from RippleRoot will not exceed the amount you paid us for RippleRoot during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as RippleRoot changes. We will update the date above and provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continuing to use RippleRoot after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
